Grid Snatch is currently in alpha — an early, playable build that is still in active development.
Some planned features and polish are missing, and based on player feedback, certain core systems may be added, changed, or removed in future updates.
This game is currently free to play for a limited time only.
Donations are welcome and appreciated, but entirely optional.
Looking ahead, shortly there are plans to introduce a paid early access version for future downloadable builds, but for now, enjoy the game freely and thank you for being part of its journey.
Please be aware:
- You may encounter bugs, glitches, and incomplete content.
- Balancing, visuals, and mechanics are subject to change.
- Save data is stored locally in your browser and may reset between updates.
- Please note: there's a chance the game may never reach a “final” version.

Dive into a fast-paced 2 player local-multiplayer strategy game where you try to snatch more tiles than your opponent!

How To Play
Goal: Win five out of nine grids or make a full row/column across the big grid.
Grids: Each grid is 3 × 3. Win a grid by placing 3 tiles in a row (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal).
Turns: Each player gets two actions per turn:
- Place a tile or use an ability.
- Each action must be on a different grid.
Tile Rules: Only empty tiles can be used.
Tiles: If no one can win a grid, it ends in a tie (marked grey).
Reset: Restarts the game anytime.
Abilities: Trigger abilities to flip tiles, shift rows, or cancel plays—turn the tide with clever moves.

- Font: Pixelify Sans (SIL Open Font License 1.1) — full license link in the game footer for WebGL build, AND license included in the windows game folder as `OFL.txt`.
- Tools: Unity (game engine), Aseprite (pixel art), Pico-8 (in-game music).
